Wedding Packages

The Hotel has been granted a Civil Wedding Ceremony Licence, which can take place in one of our Lounges. We will be able to cater for Ceremonies of between 2 to 120 guests. The charge for this will be £350.00 plus VAT inclusive of room hire for the ceremony, and a consultation room for yourselves with the Registrar prior to the Wedding. Please note that this does not include the Registrar’s fee which is payable direct to the Registrar. The current fee is approximately £250.00. Your Civil Wedding Ceremony can be tailored to your individual needs, but there are certain requirements under the Approved Premises Marriage Act 1994’ that only you can deal with.

• Once a date has been set and the venue decided upon the Registrar in your home area must be notified of your intention to marry out of your district.
• The Superintendent Registrar for the area you are to be married in should be contacted and your thoughts regarding the date and time of your ceremony should be discussed with him/her or a member of the Registrar’s team.
• The Registrar can accept provisional bookings for weddings for up to one year in advance.
• A minimum of 21 days is required for marriage by Certificate, 2 days for marriage by special licence.
• Marriage ceremonies can be held between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. daily, with the exception of Good Friday and Christmas Day.
• Music can be played/presented, but it must not be of a religious nature. Videos may be allowed but do discuss this with the Registrar.
• You may plan your own content apart from the actual marriage; this should be agreed with the Registrar.

If the Ceremony is followed by a Wedding breakfast, then the start time of the Ceremony would need to be no later that 1.00 p.m.

Harding’s Restaurant can cater for up to 100 guests for a banquet style meal or up to 100 guests for a buffet. In order that we are able to re-set our Restaurant for the hotel’s residents, wedding parties are requested to have finished by 5.00 p.m. Please note that due to limited space we are not usually able to provide evening Receptions. Our prices include:

• Complimentary accommodation for the Bride and Groom in one of our spectacular deluxe rooms with views over Sidmouth Bay.
